Individual Therapy

I work with queer and trans young adults, adults, and elders both virtually and in-person. My work focuses on creating a safe relational container for clients to explore their sense of self, connect to their bodies’ knowing, and move towards what is important to them. I support clients in contextualizing their experiences within the greater systems we exist within. We work together to reflect on what is and isn’t working, develop understanding and self-compassion for where they’ve been, to reimagine what is possible, and build motivation and strategies to lean into who they want to be. I believe that understanding our nervous system responses and building capacity to respond to ourselves with care is essential to the healing process. I strive to be a thoughtful, curious, and compassionate collaborator on that journey. It is such a gift to witness and support my clients.

What will therapy be like?

I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities in session depending on what seems most helpful and what works best for you. In general, I come from a relational approach and prioritize what you find helpful. I will invite you to be aware of what's happening in your body, to connect emotionally with different parts of you, and to practice responding to your self with compassion. I also use visual and somatic mapping exercises and tangible practices to help you embody what we are exploring.

I offer both in-person and virtual therapy to clients in Vermont and Maine. We can meet at my office in Montpelier Vermont, outdoors (“walk and talk” therapy), or online from the comfort of your home.

I split my time between Vermont and Maine, so there will be times when I am only available to meet with you virtually.
